what size 6010 rod do you use for root?

Great job. Im kind of fed up of my torch tig welding handle. The Migatronics are super ligth.. but above 150Amp they are real juice. Do you do scratch start on that handle you run with or have pedal on it? ... I want the same handle. The Miller handels I like .. they are real quality.

Question for the tungsten electrode is the tip always completely sharp or should it be alittle blunt flat on the end cause when I do ac welding with aluminum for example it’s supposed to kinda ball up be a little blunt or like bullet shape I believe not as narrow as I would for like using mild steel or stainless steel in dc just curious my welding fundamentals 6th edition says that

having issues with the bottom root, if i have the filler rod inside the pipe on the bottom i get a couple bumps on the root, if i go more amps it gets worse if i go less amps like 70 there less bumps but it feels way to cold
